A glimpse into the life of a Mormon missionary (Elder Creer) as he serves a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He began serving in the Utah Salt Lake City Mission- Spanish speaking. On July 1, 2012, he was transferred to a new mission- the Utah Salt Lake City West Mission.

There was a huge water animal...

Hola Familia!
My new comp is Elder Morales. He came out on his mission from Texas but grew up in Mexico. The funny thing is that he was the senior comp with Shuster and I am the DL.   So now with Elder Morales and I we have a super companionship, haha.  It has already showed because we added 7 people together this week and had a baptism. The area is looking really good right now. It is really cool to be serving with someone who has so much experience because we can both focus on the area and when I am doing DL stuff he has no problem with the area by himself. They usually don't make things like this so we will probably be transferred after this transfer but I will enjoy it while I can. He is really awesome and we are having tons of fun.
For the baptism that we had this weekend it was for a 9 year old kid. Both of his parents were baptized a year ago so we found him and he just turned 9 so he was all ready. The cool thing about him is after every lesson we would go play soccer with him for 20 minutes or play Jenga or something. Annd they used to live in Pasco!! He was wearing a Pasco shirt the other day and I told him Richland was better. hahaha. They talked about how they always went to the park where the play ground of dreams was and they loved the river. His mom told us a story a couple days ago about one time when he was swimming in the river there was a huge water animal..that’s what she called it, that looked like a giant fish/beaver that jumped out of the water and ate a fish right in front of her son and she freaked out and didn't take him to the river after that. I tried to make it seem like I knew what water animal she was talking about but the only conclusion that I could come to was a FEVIRD..part fish because it was swimming..part beaver because  it can walk on shore and part bird because it can fly. That is about the best I can do with the description! hahaha.
Anyways things are going good right now. It snowed again yesterday so it is really nice to have a car. We have 3 marriages scheduled for the next month in our teaching pool and we had one last week.
We have a baptism next week lined up and this lady is amazing. When we found her the first thing she said was “Hi I am A-- and I am not baptized.”  Haha.  So now she is getting baptized next week! Crazy how the Lord provides for us if we are doing the things we are supposed to.
Well hope all is going well!
SIempre Crean,
Elder Creer
